Heathrow Airport Train

Regarding train transportation in Heathrow, there are a couple of available options:

 

Heathrow Express

By Heathrow Express passengers are able to transfer from both Terminals 2 and 3 to Central London (Paddington Station).

 

These are non-stop trains take 15 minutes to Paddington Station from Terminals 2 and 3, and 6 more minutes from Terminal 5, with also 15 minutes’ frequency.

 

Schedule from Heathrow Airport:

- Terminals 2 & 3: From 05:17 am to 11:33 pm and 11:48 pm (Monday to Sunday)
- Terminal 4: From 05:48 am (Monday to Saturday) to 11:22 pm and 11:41 pm and from 06:05 am on Sundays
- Terminal 5: From 05:12 am (Monday to Sunday) to 11:27 pm and 11:42 pm.

 

 

TFL Rail

TFL Rail trains connect Heathrow Airport with London Paddington Station every 30 minutes and also at other local stations located in western London. The trip time is around 31 and 49 minutes.

Rail-air bus links

Bus services connect Heathrow Airport with the national rail network at Feltham, Woking, Reading and Watford Junction.

 

There are buses that connects the LHR Airport with the national rail network.

 

- To Reading: By RailAir coaches. RA1 bus route.
- To Watford Junction: By Green Line bus route 724.
- To Woking: By Wrailoking RailAir coaches. Bus route 925.
- To Feltham: By Bus route 285 and Bus route 490.

 

*Passengers can buy a combined coach-train ticket to cover the whole journey. It is not necessary to be a rail passenger to use the services.

 

 

Location

Heathrow Express trains stop at Terminals 2 (underground levels), 3 (ground level) and 5 (ground level). For passengers getting to terminal 4, it is compulsory to change to the free transfer train at Terminals 2 and 3.

 

TFL Rail trains stop at Terminals 2 (underground levels), 3 (ground level) and 4 (Ground level). For those passengers travelling to Terminal 5, please change to the free transfer train at Terminals 2 and 3.

For the rail-air bus link service, coaches are located at the central bus station in Heathrow Airport. Passengers can get there within a few minutes’ walk from both Terminal 2 and Terminal 3.

 

 

Fares

Heathrow Express:

Passengers are able to pay by Oyster London Card and contactless payment.

Tickets can be purchased online, at the station or on board at the train:

 

- Express Saver: £25.00 (one-way) If travelling on peak hours (06:30 am to 09:30 am / 04:00 pm to 07:00 pm Monday to Friday) or £22.00 off peak hours.

Return ticket (£37.00). Please note that tickets booked in advance cost £5.50 for a one-way trip.

For tickets purchased on board:

 

- Express Standard: £30.00 (one-way) if travelling on peak hours (06:30 am to 09:30 am / 04:00 pm to 07:00 pm Monday to Friday) or £27.00 off peak hours.

Return ticket (£42.00).

Children under 15 years old travel for free accompanied by an adult.

 

TFL Rail:

Passengers can pay their ticket by contactless payment or Oyster London card. Oyster card can be purchased at the ticket machines. On the other hand, individual tickets and zones 1 to 6 Travelcards are also accepted.
