Heathrow Guide to London Heathrow Airport - LHR

Underground London Heathrow

Another option of transport available to travel between Heathrow Airport and London is the Underground.

PICCADILLY LINE

The Piccadilly line is an affordable travel option between London and all Heathrow terminals.

It provides a cost effective route between Heathrow Airport and London City.

Travel time is around 1 hour until Central London, a good option if you do not carry lot of luggage with you.

UNDERGROUND HEATHROW STATIONS

Passengers will find Underground stations at Terminal 4, Terminal 5 and one for Terminal 2 and 3. The station in Terminal 2 and 3 is between terminals, so it is required a short walk to each of them via a pedestrian walkaway.

SCHEDULE

First departure on 05:12 (05:15 on Sundays), last departure on 23:45 (23:28 on Sundays). There is no night service.

Times depend of the Terminal too, so it is suggested to check always the timetable here

UNDERGROUND PRICE and tickets

In order to use the underground, passengers will need an Oyster Card. There are machines at every station so it is easy to take one. Passengers can recharge it there too. For more information about the Oyster card, check its section.

All stations are in Travelcard Zone 6.
