Parking Heathrow Airport

For those passengers who need to leave their car and take a flight, please see below the available parking lots at Heathrow Airport.


Short stay

It is a recommended option for stays up to 5 hours.


Location: next to each terminal, just 50 metres away from the terminals.

Drivers can book online the parking (for stays of two hours or more at Terminals 2, 3 or 5) and have discounts.


For Oversized vehicles - Short Term Parking

Limits at the parkings:

- Short stay parking 2 : 2.2 metres (7ft 2in)

- Short stay parking 3 : 2.2 metres (7ft 2in)

- Short Stay car park 4: 2.0 metres (6ft 6in)

- Short Stay car park 5: 2.2 metres (7ft 2in)


Terminal 2: Drivers may park vehicles up to 3 metres (9ft 8in) high in the designated overheight area, located on the ground floor of Short Stay Car - Park 2.


Terminal 3: Drivers may park vehicles up to 2.4 metres (8 ft) high on the Short Stay Car - Park 3 (Ground Floor). Terminal 4 Drivers may park vehicles over 2 metres high and/or 2.1 metres wide at Long Stay


Terminal 4: Vehicles will be charged with the Short Stay tariff for up to 6 hours.


Terminal 5: Drivers may park at the Fast Track - Overheight Vehicles entrance, located on the ground floor of Short Stay Car Park 5. Minimum charge: £11 for up to 2 hours.



Meet and Greet Parking

It is an easy and quick way to park when passengers are short of time. It is designed for passengers that are looking for the characteristics of valet parking but with cheaper rates. The staff at the parking pick and park the vehicles. Vehicles are returned in the same area.


Location: Short Stay Car Park. It is necessary to book in advance the parking space.

Opening hours: from 5 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.



Business Parking

Available for Terminal 2, 3 and 5

Passengers that departs from Terminals 2, 3 and 5 can park in the Business Car Park at LHR airport.

There is a shuttle bus that runs every 5 minutes and it takes about 8-10 minutes (travel time).

Drivers can book online the parking and have discounts.



Long-Term Parking

It is a good option for passengers that want to park during two days or more as well as for passengers that go for holidays or long trips. Drivers can book online the parking and have discounts.


There is a free shuttle bus that runs every 10 minutes and it takes about:


- 10 minutes to go to T2

- 20 minutes to go to T3

- 5 minutes to go to T4

- 8 minutes to go to T5.



POD Parking - Terminal 5

This parking is only available for passengers that travel from T5. To transfer to the terminal passengers just may call up the Heathrow Pod, which takes about 4-6 minutes to arrive.



- Monday to Friday: 03:00 am to 01:00 pm

- Saturday: 03:00 am to 11:00 pm.

- Sunday: 04:00 am to 01:00 pm



Valet Parking

This is the most easiest and fastest way to park at the airport but it is the more expensive parking option although taxis are more expensive.


Passengers can drive right up to the drop-off points you'll find on each terminal forecourt. The staff take care of the vehicles and when passengers return, they can pick up their cars at the pick-up area.

At the Valet Parking there are services available as wash or interior vacuum.

Opening hour of the Valet Parking: from 5 a.m. to 10.30 p.m.



Hotel and Parking

It is a parking reserved for guests at the Heathrow hotels. Overnight parking for each hotel is included in the price, so guests just have to park their vehicles during the night that they are staying there. The day of the flight, guests may ride to the terminal car park to reach their flight.


Location: hotels are in the surroundings of the Heathrow airport, within 15 minutes of the Long Stay Parking Lots.



Cycle parking

There is a free cycle parking available to all passengers at every terminal of Heathrow airport. Bikes can also be stored in the left baggage office for up to 90 days. It is important to park bikes in the correct place.



Motorcycle parking

Motorcycles can park for free at the motorbike parking. Please, park the motorbike in the correct place.



- T2: At the back of Short Stay Car Park 2, to the right of the over height exit.

- T3: At the back of Short Stay Car Park 1A/5, to the right of the exit. Access: via Chester Road.

- T4: Opposite the arrivals forecourt.

- T5: Next to the short term car park.
