London Heathrow Airport Terminal 2

London Heathrow Airport Terminal 2 is the newest terminal in LHR Airport, which it is also known as the Queen’s Terminal. Terminal 2 is able to handle 20 million passengers per year.

 

The terminal is home of most the of the international flights.

 

T2 hosts Star Alliance members (except Air India (T4). Germanwings, Aer Lingus and Icelandair also operate from T2.

 

 

Present & future

Preparations for Terminal 2’s expansion are ongoing and Terminal 3 is about to close along 2019.

 

 

Levels

Heathrow Terminal 2 consists of five levels:

 

- Underground level -2: Departures walkway from B gates.

 

- Underground level -1: Arrivals walkway from B gates.

 

- Ground level: Ground transportation level (bus, taxi and flight connections transfers).  Services: information desks, currency exchange, car rental counters.

 

- First level: Arrivals and Departures for B gates. Find here the baggage claim of level 1 with oversized baggage counters and other baggage services.  

 

Access from this level to the underground levels, the central bus station and to Terminal. Transportation by train is also available to the city and to Terminal 4 and 5.

 

Services: Baby care rooms, baggage trolleys, toilets, water fountains, information desks, public phones, ATMs, cash machines, car rental desks, meeting points, waiting areas, lost & found, etc.

 

- Second level: Arrivals for B gates. It is also home of the United lounge.

 

- Fourth level: Departures (gate level). Boarding gates: A16-A26.

 

Services: Public phones, waiting areas, mobile chargers, water fountains, toilets, baby care rooms, prayer rooms, children’s play area, among food and drink concessions, and a varied offer of retail stores.

 

- Fifth level: Departures (upper level) and also Check-in (Zones A, B, C and D).

Services: Information desks, public phones, toilets, baby care rooms, water fountains, outsize baggage, meeting points, baggage trolleys, special assistance, VAT refund and huge selection of food, drink and retail concessions.

 

 

Concourses

Heathrow Terminal 2 has as satellite pier (Terminal 2B) which comprises boarding gates B30-B49 plus lounges B1, B2 and B3, among other services such as shops, cafés and restaurants.
